In 1946, landscape architect Charles Mann and his wife Lorna purchased
the property adjacent to "Far Gaze Point" . Over almost 60 years they
worked to create the wonderful landscaped garden "The Flower Basket"
as a center piece for their home and for the work they were to do
throughout the West Michigan area.
Charles was renown for introducing Azaleas and Rhododendrons
throughout West Michigan, and they are a feature of his many gardens.
Today, John Migas continues this tradition. The "Flower Basket" is
maintained in all its beauty, and he has added to it his own Woodlands
Nursery gardens a short distance away. Arrangements can be made for
visitors at Far Gaze Point to tour these beauty spots.
