The first "The Flower Basket" which was developed beginning in the late 1940s by landscape architect Charles Mann and his wife Lorna, and now maintained by John. The second garden in the tour is his own Woodland Nursery, which he began in the late 1980s. John met and was inspired by Mr. Mann, who served as a mentor to him until his death in 2001.
